Overview

Tecno Makers 1 – Introduction to Robotics & Programming (Ages 11–14)

These classes offer a structured introduction to robotics and engineering, designed as a stepping stone toward more advanced platforms such as Arduino and text-based programming environments. Ideal for students who already have experience with block-based visual programming languages like Scratch, the course helps bridge the gap between visual and textual coding.

A computer lab with Windows, Mac, or Linux is required, as digital tools are a core part of the learning process.

Recommended age:
11–14 years old.

Tools & materials:
The course uses the Crumble controller, an accessible hardware platform that prepares students for future work with Arduino. Each participant works with their own kit and takes it home at the end of the course, allowing for continued exploration and robot building beyond the classroom.
