The Three Wise Men Parade in Málaga City

Overview

The Three Wise Men Parade in Málaga City will be held on January 5, 2026. Their Majesties from the East are scheduled to arrive at Málaga City Hall at 5:30 p.m., where they will be formally welcomed by the Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, together with the Children’s Mayor, Yasmina Ballesta, who will deliver the traditional letter addressed to the Three Wise Men.
The parade will officially begin at 6:00 p.m.

For the 2026 edition, the procession will consist of 13 floats, accompanied by a wide variety of live performances and entertainment groups.


Official Parade Route – Málaga 2026

The parade will follow this route: Málaga City Hall, Avenida de Cervantes, Plaza General Torrijos, Paseo del Parque and Plaza de la Marina, Alameda Principal, Tetuán Bridge, Calle Nazareno del Paso, Calle Hilera, Puente de la Esperanza, Calle Prim, Calle Atarazanas, Calle Puerta del Mar, Alameda Principal, Plaza de la Marina, and Cortina del Muelle

Once the procession reaches Cortina del Muelle, the Three Wise Men and their entourages will continue on foot along Molina Lario Street to Plaza del Obispo. There, on the steps of the main entrance to Málaga Cathedral, they will take part in the traditional offering to the Infant Jesus. This moment will be accompanied by a living Epiphany performance organized by Eventos con Historia and a concert by the children’s choir of the Málaga University Choir (Orfeón Universitario de Málaga).


Floats and Candy Distribution

  • The parade will include three Royal floats and ten supporting floats.

  • A total of 20,000 kilograms of sweets and gummy candies will be thrown to the public along the route.


The Three Wise Men – Málaga 2026

  • King Melchior will be portrayed by Daniel Pérez, spokesperson for the Socialist Municipal Group (PSOE) at Málaga City Council, representing the Municipal Corporation.

  • King Gaspar will be portrayed by Arturo Fernández, senior brother of the Monte Calvario Brotherhood and Vice President of the Association of Brotherhoods.

  • King Balthazar will be portrayed by Kendrick Perry, player for Unicaja Basketball.

  • Cornets and Drums Band of the Málaga Fire Brigade

Float 1: Ice Age, accompanied by the street show Avatar.
Float 2: Christmas Stories, with street entertainment Dance with Me – Teatinos and additional animation featuring Children’s Characters.
Float 3: Ladybug, followed by the street performance Les Wagonotes.
Float 4: Planes.
Float 5: Unicaja Foundation, with a street performance by Euphoria Dance Academy.
Float 6: Málaga C.F., accompanied by a street performance inspired by Cars.
Float 7: Golden Star.
Float 8: The East.
Float 9: Nativity Scene, with musical accompaniment by the Juan Jurado Guerrero Youth Band.
Float 10: Pages (Brotherhood of María Auxiliadora), featuring the Royal Ballet Garden of the Alcazaba, Knights carrying the Star, the standard-bearer and Royal Guard of King Melchior, and the chest bearers of King Melchior.
Float 11: Gold – King Melchior, with musical accompaniment by Sing Alicante, the standard-bearer and Royal Guard of King Gaspar, and the chest bearers of King Gaspar.
Float 12: Frankincense – King Gaspar, accompanied by the percussion band Batukemtukada, the standard-bearer and Royal Guard of King Balthazar, and the chest bearers of King Balthazar.
Float 13: Myrrh – King Balthazar
